Confirmed from Jean Klock Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Jean Klock Park
“Perfect spot for Family to spend a day swimming, playing in the clean sand and soaking up the sweet Southwest Michigan air.”
“Jean Klock Park is a stunning beachside park and was the perfect backdrop for some engagement photos I took this summer.”
“(No dogs, no play ground, but the prettiest quiet beach)”
If you’re looking for a beach, this isn’t a bad choice. Not super crowded. There’s a walking trail that gives you a decent view over the lake; though it didn’t seem very long. Have to pay to park (5 dollars for 3 hours) and it kind of sucked they didn’t have shorter hour options, but still it’s a good spot overall.
Jean Klock Park is a stunning beachside park and was the perfect backdrop for some engagement photos I took this summer. Knowing many of the beaches are full in the summer, and wanting to respect beachgoers, as well as ensure my clients had some open spaces for shooting, we headed to this beach for some less crowded…
Gorgeous beach with soft sand. Less populated than the beach just over the bridge… A wonderful spot to sun, paddle board and relax. Nice stretch of sand to walk. The only bad part are the abominable bathrooms. They are in desperate need of a complete tear down and rebuild.
Very nice, quiet beach! Easy to park and walk to the water. Bathrooms aren’t too far. Saw kayak and SUP boards for rent. Had too much fun to get pictures in the sun before clouds rolled in but was warm and perfect!

“Cute playground for the kids, adequate restrooms and changing area, little ice cream shop (Licks) with enough to appease a 3-year-old's need for a sweet treat.”
“Great place to go to lake Michigan and you still see the pier but you don't have all the congestion of St Joe Beach easier parking”
“Less rocky than rocky gap where we walked from”
