Confirmed from John H. Dover Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about John H. Dover Memorial Park
“The park is a hidden gem that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, tranquility and well-maintained facilities.”

“I recently had the pleasure of visiting John Dover Memorial Park in Montana with my wife and son, and it was a truly serene and memorable experience.”
“Great place to do a fairly easy hike with access to the river!”
This park is beautiful. We walked for a few hours here and watched the many birds along the river. It’s clear that some parts are still being worked on, but it’s a wonderful place to do a nature walk. Pretty easy to get to out in the heights, and I think kids will love the suspension bridges.
A great place to walk/hike. A great variety of challenges. Hills to climb, ‘swinging’ or suspension bridges to cross and trails, loops, lots of benches. The trails, for the most part are well groomed and easy to handle. IF you want to overlook the Yellowstone River, there’s a trail to the top of the rim.
The paths were clear, and the area is easy to navigate. I can appreciate no dogs allowed, mostly because I was rattled at by an adult snake, so I imagine dogs would have run-ins with them also. Really stay alert closer to the river. That's where I encounter the rattler.
Pretty cool park with nice trails whooo those hills are definitely a workout. Good area to find cool rocks if your a rock collector... The swaying bridges are nerve wrecking but pretty cool. Reminds me of the Shrek movie when the bridge sways and moves haha
