Confirmed from John Henes Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about John Henes Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (676 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“Restroom was very large, air-conditioned, and clean.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“It was cloudy, few raindrops, and a little chilly for me, a Floridian (53 degrees) so I did not walk a lot but that did not deter me from admiring its beautiful nature.”

Love John Henes Park! Jim and I went for our first walk inside this Park this afternoon April 5th 2026, Resurrection Day! Its was our Beloved Fur Baby Peanuts favorite Park, I'm sure he was walking with us in Spirit.

★★★★★ — Denise , Apr 2026

So I visited this park today, its definitely best for young families, large leisurely gatherings, and older couple strolls. It has lots of trees, mutiple shallow beach areas, and quite a few stretches of walking trails that connect parts of the park with each other.

To fulfill my glowing US States visited, drove from Green Bay to Menominee, Michigan. So Michigan is now my 42nd State visited. Stopped by John Henes Park for a little stroll and few pics and the park was absolutely green and lush. The view of Lake Michigan is vast and serene.

Really great place to look at Lake Michigan and let the kids have fun. Has pavilions for outdoor parties and a building for indoor parties. Also has beach access and a volleyball area. The best is the story with a walk through the woods.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 14 mentions

“A small park, but it's beautiful and the pup had a great time playing in the water and walking the trails that snake through the middle.”
