Confirmed from Kargel Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
A 24.7-acre neighborhood park on a lake with hockey rinks, an accessible playground & shelter.
What runners say about Kargel Park
“The bathrooms here are also pretty clean for a public park; as someone with a kid with a tiny bladder, I really appreciate.”
“No public bathroom is why I give it a 4 and there is little to no natural shade.”
Overall thoughts: We really liked this park and loved that it had ACTUAL bathrooms. No shade at all though so not ideal for those really hot days. SWINGS? Two traditional and two toddler/baby. PLAY STRUCTURE FOR BIG/LITTLE KIDS? One for each! SHADE?
There's a path through the woods connecting brookview Road to Tamarack Road. Through the woods on one side, there's a lake. The lake is barely visible through the woods. Either side, the woods are beautiful and lined with wild flowers.
Good little park with little and big kid play areas. It also has a rink next to it and has a shelter area which can be used if needed on the exterior of the shack. To use the shack, it must be rented. No public bathroom is why I give it a 4 and there is little to no natural shade.
Quiet and clean. Great for a family outing as it has wood trails and a kid's playground. There is a gazebo for bathrooms, picnics or group activities. There is nothing particularly extraordinary or exciting, but what it is, is relaxing.
