Confirmed from Kays Creek Parkway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Kays Creek Parkway

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (300 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 14 mentions

“It is more flat that way so I see a lot more families with smaller kids going that direction but overall it’s beautiful.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Such a cute, easy trail great for morning runs”

Beautiful trails ,unfortunately a lot of off road vehicle activities on walk path.

★★★★★ — Lorenzo , Mar 2024

First time at this location was on 6/18. It's beautiful! Clean, paved paths which are mostly flat, with some extra variations thrown in there if you want different terrains or elevations. We arrived around 7:30 pm, hiked around the ENTIRE reservoir and got out as it got dark. And it was perfect.

★★★★★ — Angela , Jun 2025

My love and I frequently get a 5 mile walk in here. Beautiful nature reserve.

★★★★★ — Astronaut , Aug 2023

Our favorite (paved) walkway that has taken us from stroller walks, all the way to toddler rock picking walks!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
