Confirmed from Keener Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Keener Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (61 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 8 mentions

“Nice clean park with clean restrooms & access to the Wabash cannonball trail.”

This little party packs a lot into a little space with 6 fill size soccer fields, 2 mini fields, 2 baseball diamonds and batting cages, plus a playground, a pavilion, and public restrooms. The men's room has a changing table and lots of room to change into your bike riding kit.

★★★★★ — Pete , Apr 2019

Always well kept up and plenty of room to wear the kiddos out climbing the rope tower and practicing soccer kicks into the many nets that are setup or running the bases on the ball diamond! Bring lunch and enjoy the pavilion setup with picnic tables provided

★★★★★ — Mike , Mar 2021

Great trail for a nice, flat ride. We started at Keener Park and headed west for a 7.5 mile out and back. It was a hot, humid day and the trail, which was about 80% shaded by trees, was very pleasant and not crowded at all.

★★★★★ — Mary , Jun 2024

Very well kept soccer and baseball fields. Lovely walking trail and good parking. Only one bathroom though and it is in the corner of the property far away from where people are playing and watching sports.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
