Minimal signage to trace the hiking trails, so prepare yourself for a round of Hunger Games in the woods (we'll know if you lost when we find your skeleton). Mosquitos enough to suck your dry. Don't touch a maple or the sap'll stick you there like crazy glue!
I Love Kennedy Park. Beautiful in all seasons even in it's bare trees in winter and spring. It sits on the edge of the village of Lenox so you can get there from the village on foot or by car.
Parking area for about ten cars. One picnic table nearby. One bulletin board with minimal information on it besides the usual warning about the risk of Lymne disease. Poorly indicated hiking paths, but yes, the woodlands traversed are gorgeous and peaceful.
A peaceful winter walk on a mild day. The trail we took was at a gradual incline and made for a refreshing adventure. The drive around the park is also spectacular.
