Confirmed from Kiva Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Neighborhood park with exposed rock formations and a covered playground.

What runners say about Kiva Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (64 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

I am really amazed with this park. The equipment looks a little older but there was such a variety of things to do here. So many different types of climbing structures and some of the slides had different sensory bumps on them. There are 2 separate play structures which I always appreciate for the smaller kids.

It's a nice place to walk spend time with the kids. You can also find fossils along the rock quarry

★★★★★ — Joseph , Jun 2017

We love this park because of the layout. You park and and have to walk down a slope into the park, and then it is completely open. I can walk on the paved trail while my kids play and I'm able to see them from every point, and easily see when someone else arrives.

Also called Quarry Park. Cute little park bisected by a mile long trail. BBQ grills but half the tables and benches have been vandalized. Looks like a good place for kids. Neighborhood park so no restrooms

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
