Confirmed from Knights Ferry Recreation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

The natural beauty here is incredible. The museum hopefully will be open soon after quarantine is a really great museum with lots of stuffed wildlife and examples of how the native Americans lived and also the early settler and gold rush people..

I would have rated it 10 stars!! My favorite park around. The scenery is amazing!! Lots of areas to hike/nature walk and take gorgeous pictures. Great place to bring out the gold pan and try to get lucky. It's very clean and well kept. We've never had any problems there.

This place is a beauty. I love the historical side of it, it's very charming. We went on April and it was already very hot which made the view of the water even more attractive 😊 i just want to jump in there. There's not a lot of shade so we had to cut our hike short, but Overall it's a refreshing place to go to.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
