Confirmed from Valley View Park & Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This is a beautiful little park with plenty of grass and a stairway to the river. Dogs are welcome. Very clean. Great views of the surrounding orchards. There is plenty of space and so many different types of birds. Great place to take a walk and get some steps in!

Very pretty place. Well kept. There are lots of stairs but also a choice to go down a walking path. The river is very pretty and the area is kept clean and there weren't any transients. The walking path is very short along the waters edge. This is a short 5 minute walk.

A ways down to river need to have good legs it is a little steep to get back up im 67 and my legs were hurting on even on the cement incline 😓 don't want to tell you about steps wow but i did it need to go back and exercise more lol. Loved it really really peaceful.

★★★★★ — Oralia , Oct 2023

Great place to take the animals or kids or both to both the top grassy area with picnic tables and a lot of open space, also kid and animal friendly down this path and down a flight of stairs but can walk the side of the stairs down the hill and there's also a bike trail or wheelchair path and stairs leading down to…

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
