Confirmed from Lacamas Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Took our dog on a walk last weekend.”

It's amazing. So many trails and views to see. You can just do a mile around the pretty lake, or you take longer trails that wind around the river. The potholes are cool and the little dams are neat. Really beautiful.

Winter has arrived here and its beauty is shining! Great family park. Nice walking trails. Dog friendly. Bike friendly. Several options to meet your exercise needs. Clean, plenty of parking. Picnic tables and play area.

★★★★★ — Myvisit , Jan 2024

A beautiful park, with a variety of things to see. Two natural waterfalls, the dam, lake, single path trails that trail bikes like to careen down so watch out. There are picnic tables along the lake as well as a small kids park.

★★★★★ — Reine , Jul 2020

What a great park and location for biking, hiking, running, walking, easy accessible for all fitness and physical levels. Always beautiful and you can find plants blooming all over the park. Lakes for fishing and other water sports. Give it a try as there is something for everyone.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 27 mentions

“Great neighborhood park with awesome trails, lakes n ponds and waterfalls, a playground or two, and just all in all exactly what you’d want in a park/green space in your town.”

Plan your run at Lacamas Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
