Confirmed from Lake Burien School Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Lake Burien School Memorial Park
“It has tennis and pickle ball courts, a very nice walking path, electronic tennis game, a playground for younger children, bathrooms and a huge grass lawn that is well maintained.”
“This park is in the middle of the beautiful Seahurst hood so even a walk around this gorgeous place is nice after or before enjoying the park.”
A simple park built 30 years ago when Burien was incorporated. A large unlit grass field surrounded by a walking path. Two tennis courts and a large play structure, as well as a few picnic tables and a bathroom. Although it's not original, they recast the main arch entryway which adds a very nice touch.
Fun park. Has a slide, a swing set. An oval-shaped walking path that is about 400 m long. There are restrooms. You meet Burienites walking their dogs and entertaining their kids. The grass is well kept and there are soccer practices for young kids on select days during the week.
This is a great park in Burien. It may not look like much and then you realize its got everything you need and a spacious setting. The tennis courts are often busy there are two of them. The playground just got rebuilt and it is really nice.
My kids and I happen to go to Burien and drive by this little park. My kids enjoyed the playground and they biked around the park on the cement path for walking. The play set area is nice and shaded by some of the really large tree excellent location comparing to the rest of the park it can get quite hot in direct sun.
