We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Lake Marion Creek Wildlife Management Area yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Protected 8,000-acre area of wooded swamp with hiking trails, fishing & abundant wildlife.
What runners say about Lake Marion Creek Wildlife Management Area
“It had a beautiful section of Cypress swamp with lots of aquatic plants.”
“Good quiet place to bring the family for camping and fishing.”
Beautiful area, well maintained. It was a challenge to find the different hiking trails. No maps at location. You download but I like paper maps. If your phone dies you'd still have a map. There were beautiful savannas, easy to walk. Lots if bullfrogs, a bald eagle and pleated woodpecker made the day.
I really liked hiking here. It was free so that's good. It was very quiet and I like that part. It had a beautiful section of Cypress swamp with lots of aquatic plants. It also has a vast expanse of scrub pine swamp. There were a couple of park benches sprinkled in it too. Good place for a hike.
Beautiful serene area nestled in a quiet little spot. Good to just walk & enjoy nature, leave the grid behind & clear your head with God's green earth.... only in area for few weeks but i walk daily for serenity & this happens to be on my route so I can enjoy peaceful nature somemore !!
Beautiful nature walk through natural Florida. Surprise at the end of the short trail. Open field with picnic table, firepit, and bbq grill. Old aboned house to explore by the water. Was looking for walkers! Great place for dogs and children!
