Confirmed from Lake Williams Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Half-mile walkway across the water and a longer wooded trail make for a scenic strolling spot.

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Nice easy walk around the lake/pond.”

Perfect addition to make Marlborough a more desirable place to visit. Nice lake that had been ignored because an old main road was located too close on one side. This free, floating boardwalk opens up the lake and provides a one of a kind experience. Connects to a circular walking trail.

Highly Recommended Experience the serenity of Lake Williams with its stunning Floating Boardwalk, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. Trails and parking are located off Lizotte Dr. behind the baseball field off Williams St. From Rte. 20 West Main St. take Williams St. to Lizotte Dr.

This is the PERFECT loop for a small child and tired mom. The boardwalk is fun/different and easy to walk on. The trail through the woods was very easy and mostly flat. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the "bridges" in the woods.

★★★★☆ — Jessica , Sep 2024

Lake William Boardwalk appears to be the actual name of this trail since 2023 when the boardwalk opened. This is a quiet and relaxing place to take a walk and admire a local architectural feat. I look forward to returning some time in the future.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
