Confirmed from Lakeridge Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking trails through the forest & flowing streams highlight this urban recreation area.
What runners say about Lakeridge Park
“Cute and quaint trail, easy to run around, trails are well maintained and not very technical.”
“Beautiful, little forest/park with creek, which you can hear and see from beginning to end, so relaxing.”
This is an excellent park with a trail that meanders up the Taylor Creek canyon. There are several wooden bridges and steps. Trail is well maintained. There is a pullout for parking that can absorb about 4 cars. No facilities. Trail map at entrance. Beautiful views of the forested ravine.
Cute little play area and ball park, near a pizza place. The best part of the park (unless you have kids) is a hiking trail, accessible primarily from the neighborhood behind and on the hidden side. Both sides have very small parking areas.
Lakeridge is a heavily wooded park with a creek and a nice, moderate hiking trail. There is a great sense of peace and nature here, very calming. My only complaint is that there are no signs in the park so I don't know where to turn to take a loop (as seen on Google Maps) back to the trailhead.
This place is absolutely serene even on the most dismal of days. The wonderful sounds of nature all around. The stream that runs through peacefully, the HUMMINGBIRDS!!! One of my new favorite spots to go to by far. . . Can't wait to go back!

“Only suggestion it provide more shade over slides In theat the slides become very hot and a small child could be burned.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
