Beautiful small wetland preserve area with picnic tables, shelters, and little trails to explore. The area is also home to the SEEDS group who's working to create a permaculture garden community
Historical, natural park and preserve with ducks and frogs, a bamboo nature walk by the lake. It was a camping site of the 1775-76 Anza Expedition. Picnic tables and shaded areas. Well worth a visit. No bathroom. A portable toilet, but it was locked.
I was impressed with this little piece of nature in the city. It is very well maintained and is a nice place to pack a lunch and go for a little walk. I should have thought ahead and brought bug spray. My kids and I got pretty eaten up and left earlier than planned due to the nasty bugs.
Very peacefull, clean grounds plenty of seats and shade to birdwatch. I would recomend a visit especially this time of the year
