Confirmed from Legion Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Legion Park
“Nice park with nice softball fields and nice play ground equipment, and has a nice smaller skate park, usually fairly clean and friendly environment for everyone”
“Great lil park with good area to run and explore.”
Great lil park with good area to run and explore. Plenty equipment for the kids to play on. Well manicured. Small skate park area. Softball fields. Basketball hoop. Area to set up for foot ball or soccer.
There are a lot of things for the kids to do on the playground equipment which is kept in excellent condition. The covered picnic pavillion is great for parties or to get out of the sun. The gazebos with the bench swings are great for the adults to sit and watch over their kids.
Nice place to enjoy the outdoors and get some exercise. Not the longest trail, but it's paved and never crowded.
Absolutely love taking the grandkids to this park. So much for them to play on, with plenty of room to run and romp. Gazebos and a covered shelter offer places to sit and talk. A nice walking trail, can even bring the pooch, just remember the leash and clean up bags! Great for birthday parties or cookouts.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
