Confirmed from Leif Erikson Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 21 mentions

“Sadly the rose bushes weren’t in bloom as I can only imagine how much more beautiful the park would be.”

Really enjoyed this park on Lake Superior. There are a lot of trails running through here and along the lakeside. The stage and amphitheater structures are interesting, as is the bridge into the park. Didn’t get to see the attached rose garden but was definitely interested.

What a great park near the lake, built mostly above the highway. A nice trail that leads you to more trails down by the train tracks and along the lake. Sadly the rose bushes weren’t in bloom as I can only imagine how much more beautiful the park would be. Stop by here to stretch your legs or have a picnic!

This was a fabulous place to visit! It is a rose garden, but there were only a few roses in bloom when we visited. There were, however, many, many other beautiful flowers in full bloom. The park and flower gardens are well cared for and maintained. It's a garden straight out of a fairy tale.

One of my favorite places in Duluth, Minn. It is where there are hundreds of rose bushes planted in a very organized way. It is beautiful. There is a paved walkway from Lief Erickson Park all the way down to Canal Park at the Ariel Bridge where the ocean going ships come and go from all over the world.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
