Confirmed from Levee Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Levee Park
“Well-kept park outside the Mississippi River and the Red Wing Depot.”
“Very charming, gorgeous views, and fun to watch the boats and paddle wheel cruise ships.”
“Peaceful spot on the bank of the Mississippi.”
Beautiful park located on the mighty Mississippi River in historic downtown Red Wing. Beautiful landscape, scultptures plus the local train station. Park was immaculately clean as well. Lots of folks walking the boardwalk on this lovely Fall Sunday.
It is little park right across the railway station. It has small walk area along the river. There are plenty of benches along the way. Parking is available. It is well maintained.
@ Bobby Hanson, Hi! I'm the City staff person who was responsible for the reconstruction and improvements to the park and it's docking facility. The 'ugly brown things' are called Fender Stanchions. There purpose is to maintain and stabilize the river boat's mooring away from the steel sheet pile.
Many benches to view the water. Walking trail around the park. Sculpture art to view. Its smaller but beautiful. Good picnic spot. Has a trail to bay point park I like to take as well.
