Confirmed from Lewis Point's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Lewis Point
“Use this place for putting in kayak, beautiful area.”
“Nice quiet, peaceful veiw of the Intercoastal Waterway in St Augustine, FL”
Lewis Point is on the Northern side of Moultrie Creek, where it branches off from the Matanzas River. There are old cedar, oak, and palm trees covering an area that's often used by residents walking their dogs. I like to take the kids here for picnics, and you can occasionally see dolphins out in the river.
This is a nice park with nice paved trails. The view of the water from the dock is beautiful.
It's not much, but it's peaceful. This is basically just a dip in the road, a small parking lot along the waterfront. It's a pretty area. You can walk down to the water, or wander in the trees.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
