Confirmed from Lions Den Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Lions Den Trailhead
I personally love the entire atmosphere of Thompson park...a little slice of heaven right out Buttes back door, there are hiking trails everywhere and the peace is absolute bliss!
A very enjoyable hike for the whole family. Walking through the train tunnels is a little creepy, but a nice chance to cool off from the summer sun.
Fun trail with 2 tunnels and the trestle. A deer ran just next to us near the trailhead!
