Confirmed from Lions Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Lions Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (234 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

“Definitely a peaceful and well-kept park for rural suburbia, albeit a little small.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Beautiful park, great fishing pond, tents courts, baseball diamond and anew accessible playground.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

Update: swings added, including a wheelchair friendly and paired-play swings. A beautiful hidden park. Updated equipment for young kids to engage nonstop. Tennis courts, baseball, bike trail and bathroom facilities all very nice. And a little pond!

★★★★★ — Robin , May 2023

Definitely a peaceful and well-kept park for rural suburbia, albeit a little small. With three shaded picnic areas, a few parking lots, nice jungle gyms, a public restroom, and large grassy fields, it's an ideal spot for familial outings and recreational activities.

★★★★☆ — Jason , Jun 2019

Really nice gem of a park. They have lots to offer, including a sweet new playground and a pretty pond. There's a walking trail, public restrooms, and some other things I didn't get a chance to look at, but suffice to say if you're looking for a nice neighborhood park to visit, this is a great choice.

★★★★★ — Andrew , Jun 2022

There are two parking lots available, so no need to worry about finding a spot. There is a recreational area with a jungle gym, swings, and a couple other toys for kids. They also have a baseball diamond and I believe four caged tennis courts. My favorite areas are the ponds, which there are two of them.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 6 mentions

“I'd say 5 stars but the restrooms were locked so we had to cut our play date short to go to a gass station.”

Plan your run at Lions Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
