Confirmed from Little Creek Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Little Creek Trailhead
Excellent advanced mountain 🏔 biking 🚴♀️ trails that circle the Little Creek Mesa. Amazing scenery, view, and tough technical trails with exposure to the Mesa cliffs. Lots of bonus technical features for the expert riders including stone skinnys between cliff sections.
Little Creek is a great place. It is a big MTB area, with most of the trails heading north and east from the trailhead. The trailhead itself is just a bunch of flat slickrock. The road should be OK for most vehicles but low clearance should probably pull out some place on the hill just before the actual trailhead.
I've driven to the trail head several times in a SUV. I find this trail easier than nearby Gooseberry Mesa so often start the trip here. The trail is marked by cairns that are the same color rock so expect them to be hard to spot at times.
Challenging location to find and hard if not impossible to get to without a 4x4 rig. Hands down my favorite mountain biking trail in the hurricane/virgin area.
Trail conditions & character
“Instead of a parking lot it's just a big open area of slick rock surrounded by Juniper and manzanita.”
“Amazing scenery, view, and tough technical trails with exposure to the Mesa cliffs.”
