We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of La Verkin Overlook Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about La Verkin Overlook Trailhead
“its so beautiful and great hike.”
“It was the perfect challenging short trail run.”
Attractive botany and geology. Trail well traveled. Significant incline. Come prepared: good hiking shoes/boots, sun protection, water, jacket (check local weather), and at least 1-2 liters (1/3 - 1 gallon) of water. Avoid this trail if the temp is 90F/32C.
Whoa, I admit I was looking for a different trail with a river but ended up here instead! It's a hike that steadily climbs with an easy and welll maintained switchback trail. It takes you a ridge that seems to be longer than a mile. It doesn't have shade but makes up for it with incredible views.
This hike is fun. it takes you over to the OVERLOOK of La Verkin! its so beautiful and great hike. I think 8yr olds and above would do just fine on the hike, start mid morning during the yr and early In the summer. Take water, sunglasses and a camera! its a good hike
Beautiful trail. Easy parking. Well worth the hike up to the top. Wish I would’ve worn hiking shoes! I didn’t know what kind of trail it was. Great workout and beautiful view at the top.
