Confirmed from Little Rock Creek Forest Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Little Rock Creek Forest Preserve
“Quiet and serene with a few run down bathrooms peppered about.”
Beautiful forest preserve with a trail that meanders through the woods along Little Rock Creek. Pretty short trail (about a mile loop), but if you cross the bridge, the trail connects to Maramech Forest Preserve. The trail was very well groomed and offered nice views of the creek.
This is a great place for exploring. Quiet and serene with a few run down bathrooms peppered about. There is a Portapotty and a paved hadicapable spot but the main way has big steps. No benches but logs are about. Wide grass paths. Cool spot. My dog loved it.
Cute spot with short wide groomed trails. Good for little kids to explore but will fall short of expectations for more serious hikers. Nice overlooks of the creek and nice variety of nature.
This Trail is very healthy for the area. It is a great trail to go on either an early fall before the leaves have fallen or late spring/all of summer. The route can be slippery and during hunting season, the Kendall County Forest preserve District maintains the trails very well, but no part of it is paved.
