Confirmed from Little Valley Mountain Resort - Private Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area featuring a creek, a waterfall and forest views from a mountain summit.
What runners say about Little Valley Mountain Resort - Private Trail
“Me and my husband came up in July and was looking for hiking trails and decided to try Headrick Top Trailhead and it was gorgeous.”
“Nice trail with a waterfall and well marked path.”
“We unfortunately couldn't make it to the top but we really enjoyed our peaceful hike.”
Note: this is a private trail and is for guests only. As far as a simple and convenient trail I have given 5 stars. There is a waterfall like feature at about the 1/2 mile mark so it’s an ideal short hike for families with small kids. Beyond that there is not much payoff for kids. At about 1.
Hiked up today with my husband. Didn’t go all the way up to the top, but the climb wasn’t too strenuous. The trail was a little wet and muddy on some places, so don’t wear fancy shoes. The creek was really pretty and would be an amazing place to bring the kids in the summer to play in.
Great time hiking to the top, is tough but you can do it! Found some bigfoot signs at the top where a tree was snapped in half about 7'6" tall. At the bottom of the tree was a huge footprint. I didn't notice it until looking at the pictures later.
We lucked out with perfect weather. Very quiet trail, but well marked. Very steep climb towards the end. The waterfall area is near the beginning. The peak was pretty but not full of open views.
