Confirmed from Logging Road Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (5 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Beautiful river spot at the end loop to kick back and have a snack stop.”

They trail is flat and paved for the entire path. It’s clean and ends with some views at the river. We had a great time on the trail.

Nice trail through the city, with views of the Willamette River at the end.

★★★★★ — Anthony , May 2022

like I was saying, this trailhead was exactly what we needed for a quick hike with the dogs the parking area is small but we found a spot right away and the trail itself was in great shape, not too crowded for a Saturday morning we ended up going about two miles in and back and the views of the surrounding hills were…

Great little out and back ride. Mostly level ish. Two or so slight inclines and some rough cracking in the pavement toward the river end of the trail. Cool art carvings dedicated to Vets and 1st responders is nice to look at and enjoy. As well as multiple free little libraries to peruse.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
