We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Loon Point Park and Farkleberry Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Loon Point Park and Farkleberry Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (32 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“But there is a walking trail that appeared well kept and some beautiful views of Lake Maumelle.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“It is beautiful in its own right and very peaceful.”

This is a relatively flat, easy hike, although it is a little toasty without leaf coverage. The end is a little bit abrupt. It used to go all the way to Vista Park, but they have made it an end now. It is beautiful in its own right and very peaceful.

★★★★☆ — Anna , Mar 2023

This is a beautiful little park along Hwy 10 just about 10 miles west of Little Rock. It has a breath taking panoramic view of Lake Maumelle, central Arkansas’s drinking water reservoir. Bring you binoculars to catch a glimpse of the migratory bird, the Loon, in winter months.

★★★★★ — Jeffrey , Dec 2024

Lovely little area to stretch your legs. Looks like there's no swimming, wading, camping, campfires. But there is a walking trail that appeared well kept and some beautiful views of Lake Maumelle.

★★★★★ — Patty , Mar 2025

Great place to take solar eclipse images. Friendly people running the park.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
