Confirmed from Pinnacle Mountain West Summit Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Pinnacle Mountain West Summit Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (120 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“The trails are well kept, the views from the top are stunning, and it’s a great place for families, fitness, or just relaxing outdoors.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 13 mentions

“This was a short and fairly difficult trail with a beautiful view at the top and several view points along the way.”

Took about an hour with constant stops after marker 6 or 7. I’m definitely not in the greatest shape but it was still really fun and pretty. There are yellow markers painted on rocks and trees showing you the recommended paths. Some spots even have railings for safety. Bring a buddy for safety or fun.

Everytime I do this trail it's excellent. Just played at the park with my 3 year old this time and she wore herself out! Parking is easy as is the trail, but it's all elevation. Beats the stairmaster and ends in great views. Can go out and back/up and down or up over and around.

★★★★★ — Jesse , May 2024

The most scenic view in the entire little rock. The hike is worth it. It's recommended to have you hiking gear and always follow the markers on the trail. Carry water as well. You will need it once you reach the top.

★★★★★ — Uzair , Oct 2023

Great hike to the summit. The view at the top is rewarding! Just follow the yellow markings.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 30 mentions

“End up the fun scramble all the way to the summit with lovely 360 views of the area, the lake Maumelle, the Arkansas River and the city of Little Rock to the east in the distance.”
