Confirmed from Lorraine Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Lorraine Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (229 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Quiet, peaceful, not many people except some bikers.”

When we first arrived we wanted to try out the trail but the entrance towards the top leads you to the side walk and we really didn't like that. We ended up going back down through the park and entered that way. Didn't do much of the trail since our kids wanted to go to the park since they thought it looked amazing.

Beautiful trails for walking, running and biking. It connects to the rockdale river trail which also has some hiking trails as well as mountain bike trails of different levels you can try.

The boat launch is excellent. I launched from Lorraine Park and went down to Riverbend Park in my kayak. The entire journey was truly a wilderness adventure. I only saw one house and it was in the distance beyond the trees. I did see two no trespassing signs at one location high up in the trees.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 7 mentions

“It's really small, but it has a nice view of the river, it has restrooms, and it's a part of a PATH trail network, which is apparently the main reason it exists.”
