Confirmed from Magnolia Falls Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Magnolia Falls Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (43 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“It was absolutely the most beautiful waterfall we’ve seen yet and it was so big because of all the rain.”

👟 good for all levels 3 mentions

“This is a fairly easy hike along a well-traveled trail.”

Park at sign that says Wilderness Access. Trail is well worn and gradually sloped at the beginning. Follow rock formations to falls. All Trails will take you to the 2 other falls in the area, Woods Brothers and Stahle.

★★★★★ — Lori , Feb 2025

Today we hiked to see Magnolia Falls. After all the rain, it was really really muddy at the beginning of the trail. I felt like we were walking around lakes. Sometimes I felt like we were walking in the stream. We didn’t get too wet, but got pretty muddy.

★★★★★ — Lauri , May 2025

The water fall was very pretty, even during the winter when we visited. The trail itself was easy and well paved and visible to follow. The trailhead might be hard to detect since there is no official mark or note. However there is a dent on the road exactly where the google map pin is.

★★★★★ — Haleh , Dec 2020

Good, well worn trail to waterfalls. Turn left after water crossing by stack of rocks. About 2 miles down and easy enough to follow. Parking on side of road for at least 10 trucks.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 21 mentions

“Be aware there’s the top of another waterfall just 50 yards downstream of Magnolia.”
