Confirmed from Main City Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Green space with amenities such as a dog run, Japanese garden, skate park & playgrounds.
What runners say about Main City Park
“There's a built in concession stand at the diamond and clean toilets and a good amount of parking.”
“Beautiful city park located within walking distance of historical downtown Gresham’s shopping district.”
Really nice walk around the park today. It was partly sunny and warm. Never been here before but will definitely be back.
My first ever visit to this park was this last weekend, and my experience here is limited only to Tsuru Island and Ebetsu Plaza. But on the merits of those two sections alone, this park is incredible! Unparalleled, even, as far as public (re: free) parks go!
Our family loves this park! Clean and nice, Japanese garden is beautiful and the playground is nice for kids. Lots of room to roam , walk, bike or just take in the day.
My new favorite park. Relaxing and beautiful gardens and trails. Great community events and has local historic significance.
Trail conditions & character
“This park is packed: off leash area, playground, horseshoes, bridges, creek, walking paths, benches and at least two ball fields.”
“Beautiful city park located within walking distance of historical downtown Gresham’s shopping district.”
“Only downsides were no open bathrooms and when going on the weekends in better weather the playground is too small for the amount of kids that visit.”
“This park has paved trails and several amenities, including a playground, rose garden, and Japanese garden.”
“There's a built in concession stand at the diamond and clean toilets and a good amount of parking.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
