Confirmed from Martin Van Buren Nature Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Martin Van Buren Nature Trail
“Very peaceful well kept trails.”
Ample parking, muddy and leaf covered trails but well marked with colored flares. My family and I did the white outer loop, about 1.5 miles. Easy, does have some bog bridges that can be slippery when wet. Pretty stark this time of year but still pretty.
The trails are very nice, parking lot could be a problem. My Subaru could barely handle the potholes, drive carefully.
Great trail for a nice after walk, i was able to walk for over an hour and complete my weekly walk mile. During my walk, i was able to capture beautiful moments such as an old couple sitting by the bench, the trees , the sun kiss on trees and a nice view of myself in the middle of this magnificent park.
very peaceful wooded area. nice trails and a stream running through the area. there are plenty of benches to sit on and meditate or rest up a bit. many fallen trees but you can walk around them. always a slight change with each new visit. only downfall is the parking lot has big holes. no good on the car.
