Confirmed from McCall Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about McCall Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (29 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“It was quiet and the shade from the trees made it very pleasant on a warm, sunny day.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Quiet small park, great spot to eat together for lunch when you don't want to be at one of the super busy parks in town.”

It's a nice little shaded park. Has a big field to play ball or run dogs on. The children's play area is tiny and probably would be best for really littles. But at last it is one of the few parks that is kid and dog friendly

Lovely paved trail, bike friendly and Dog friendly. Bathrooms in spring/summer, water for dogs and a Great picnic spot. Very friendly people.

This is a park that has many different feels to it. It has a wooded area, open field for playing, a playground, and a walking trail that goes all the way around. I don’t have a dog but take my kids here, just know it’s common to come across off leash dogs. But owners are very responsible in my experience.

This park is a great little oasis in the city. It was quiet and the shade from the trees made it very pleasant on a warm, sunny day. There is also a wonderful little rock garden where we could drive our RC crawlers.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 12 mentions

“And to top it off, though we didn't bring our dogs, it would be a great place to get them out of the car for some fresh air and exercise!”
