Confirmed from McMillan Bluff's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about McMillan Bluff

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (26 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“It’s quiet, scenic, and the perfect place to catch a sunset or just soak in nature.”

Nestled in an alleyway it's almost like you go through a garden. Once to the end it opens up to this boardwalk which overlooks the beautiful bay. It's very picturesque. I'd love to see the sunset from here one time but I was at another park to watch it. Good thing I can always come back.

★★★★★ — Ryan , Mar 2022

McMillan Bluff is one of those spots that feels like a secret treasure. The trail takes you through peaceful woods and then opens up to an incredible bluff view overlooking the bay. It’s quiet, scenic, and the perfect place to catch a sunset or just soak in nature.

★★★★★ — Leonna , Sep 2025

A very small water access for local OTD residents, accessible by walk-in only. There is no public parking here. The beach front is only about 30 feet wide. The steps are long and steep. The water has submerged debris, so it's not a good place to swim. This will be busy during sunsets by locals walking in to see it.

This spot is not well-known, but it is absolutely beautiful out here. We always park at May Day Park and walk the rest of the way.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
