My family and I love this canyon. I’ve been coming here my whole life for Cub Scout camp and for campfires and picnics. We’ve tried to continue with our kids so they can experience the beauty of the canyon. There is a ton of shade near the picnic sites with the water running nearby.
Millcreek Canyon is one our our go-to hiking areas near SLC. There are trails of varying difficulty - most of which can be found on the All Trails app. Shortly after entering the canyon and passing the toll booth, you will likely lose cell service so plan accordingly.
Love the drive on Millcreek Canyon road.. nothing beats the greenery. There are so many trail options and endless entrances to the river. I love taking my pup here on the days they are allowed.
I’m absolutely in love with my neighborhood Millcreek Canyon! I’m starting to revisit the trails in winter and they are gorgeous. There’s lots of options for shorter, quick hikes as well as longer, more intense. Lots of hikers and doggos out enjoying the trails.
