Confirmed from Monte Bella Trails Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Open since 2007, a park with a 7-mi. mountain-bike track, disc-golf course & wildlife.
What runners say about Monte Bella Trails Park
“Great for hiking, jogging, or birdwatching, which is why I paid a visit.”
“These are not easy to navigate areas”
“It was my first time there, honestly I was pleased at how peaceful and clean the trail was.”
What a cool trail! It's so windy and fun! The vast majority of the trail is shaded and it's just gorgeous. I saw a ton of wildlife including snakes (one HUGE one!), an armadillo, a couple different types of woodpeckers, an owl, and some sort of yellow and green bird that I've never seen before.
Great place to do a trail walk or run. Has bathrooms. A large grass wooded area for a dog walk. Great for a nature walk. Just had my first trail run, PMP! Awesome event, lots of runners!
We enjoy this trail walk on the left side of the golf disk section. BUT it's what nature can provide for us as a survival idea. What's out there are many things we find and get better at it. From tracking animals to plants purpose usages and the migrating birds and water source.
Simple, but nice trail system that goes around the edge of the disc golf course. Covered by trees. Great for hiking, jogging, or birdwatching, which is why I paid a visit. There are bathrooms near the playground on the northeast corner, but nowhere else. There is parking on both the north and south entrances.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
