Moore State Park is a hidden gem in central Massachusetts. It is located in Paxton. Going in the fall is absolutely stunning. There is an old mill there along the water. The pond is beautiful. Walking along the grounds is a treat as well. I highly recommend visiting.
Moore State Park is an absolute gem! I hike here regularly and it never disappoints. The trails are well-maintained and offer something for everyone, from easy walks to more challenging hikes. The waterfalls are beautiful year-round, and the lake adds even more to the scenery.
Great spot for a relaxing stroll! Visited in January 2025, my second time here. Moore State Park offers a nice mix of open fields and wooded areas. The 0.6-mile Laurel Hill loop trail is a highlight, quickly transitioning from fields to forest alongside water. Good parking available.
It is absolutely gorgeous. Different trails to choose from. They are all pretty short, which makes it easy to go through the different ones. I love the meadows, the forest can be pretty too( be ready for bugs and mosquitoes until the frost, although not too bad depending on the day)
