Confirmed from Mount Simon Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This 49-acre park offers 2 picnic pavilions & a 9-hole disc-golf course, plus a boat landing & dock.
What runners say about Mount Simon Park
“There deer are aways around Park is also very clean.”
“Everything to do here, including cliff jumping, Frisbee golf, volleyball, baseball, boat docks, hiking, scenic views, and much more!”
Been coming here for disc golf for over twenty years - we used to skip class in high school to come here because we were all irresponsible hippies back then. For the most part it hasn't changed, although a few of the baskets have been moved around from time to time, I think they've been the same now for about 15 years.
Very large park with lots of trails and nature to explore. Hiking to the top of “Mt.” Simon is a bit of a trek for those not in the best of shape (myself), but the views are absolutely worth it. The view overlooks the Chippewa River and allows you to see throughout the area. Especially beautiful in the fall
had a wonderful day here, saw deers and squirrels and took many photos for them. Colorful leaves already showed and so beautiful. Hiking around the lakeside, then crossed the hills and woods, we enjoyed.
I came here to hike around and to try out my new backpack to see if I like it. I climbed up to Mount Simon and hiked around the top and bottom. The trail from the park to the peak is challenging and not really maintained.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
