This is a great trail to walk, run, bike, etc. on. I love going here and walking with my dog and just kind of having it to ourselves for the most part. The views of the mountains and the valley are pretty nice from this trail. I love this trail and would recommend it to others.
If you are entering from the 5400 S parking lot it is a nice simple walk with great views on nice days. Heading south towards 6200 S is a simple mostly level walk. If you walk down to Lonestone park and back it is approximately 3 miles.
This was a brilliant trail with good water station. Two levels of fountains, a dog bowl, and bottle filling. Bike tools and pump also available, along with exercise equipment. No off street parking in a cute suburban neighborhood, so I felt a bit like an intruder starting a bike ride there.
One of the most beautiful trails to run or bike on in the valley, especially when the sun rises. On a clear day you have the majestic Wasatch mountain vista on one side, and the copper mine on the other. There are often herds of antelope and deer in the fields.
