Confirmed from Muddy Creek Holly Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Muddy Creek Holly Trail
“Boardwalk is decently well maintained and leads into some beautiful swamp/lowland areas, eventually ending up at Muddy Creek.”
Good short trail to do with young kids leads to french creek. All wood boardwalk for the .75. mostly level. Lots of mosquitoes the day I went in late may.
Boardwalk trail, accessible and suitable for strollers and wheelchairs - .75 miles through wildlife refuge land to French Creek and back. Small, limited off road parking at trailhead. Beautiful and peaceful walk in the woods any time of year!
I love this trail, I used to take my Dad walking there. He was in a wheelchair, and he loved it! Of course, bugs can be bad, but that's to be expected at certain times of the year and day. But it's one of my favorite spots to walk my dogs.
Great trail in the Erie National Wildlife Refuge. Boardwalk is decently well maintained and leads into some beautiful swamp/lowland areas, eventually ending up at Muddy Creek. Simple out and back that takes ~25 mins.
