Confirmed from Muddy Creek Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Paved, shaded hiking/walking trail for dogs and bikes, plus a small parking lot.
What runners say about Muddy Creek Preserve
“Hidden gem, it's not crowded at all, very clean and we love having family walks here.”
“Perfect for a quick walk/run with your dog.”
“Only a 1/2 mile trail, but the trail is almost competely covered by trees and in the shade.”
“Perfect for a quick walk or to guage miles by the half on a quiet, peaceful fitness journey.”
Small paved trail half a mile long. Friendly to bike riders, dog lovers or simple anyone in the mood for a walk. Almost the entire trail allows you to enjoy your day under a nice shade.
Half mile loop with a nice wide concrete path- just lovely! I'll definitely be back. No restrooms, small parking lot. Perfect for a quick walk or to guage miles by the half on a quiet, peaceful fitness journey.
I love this small trail BUT I did go one hot morning in September to do a quick run and there was A LOT of spiderwebs. I thought it was my hair bothering me but it was spiderwebs that I kept running into throughout my run. These spiderwebs were in the middle of the trail! It was amazing but creepy at the same time.
There are two parts to the preserve. The north side is about 0.5 mile loop. South side is just under a mile paved lollypop looo. You can combine the two loops for about 1.5 miles. Not a lot to see, but always good to have some nature preserved.
