Confirmed from Nat Greene Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Beautiful place to hike for all activity levels.”

Nat Greene is a great trail through the woods along the shore of Lake Brandt. The gravel lot on Olde Battleground road is small, with space for only 4 or 5 cars. The trail is about 3.25 miles long and takes you to Lake Brandt marina. After an initial .

Nice medium difficulty trail along Lake Brandt shoreline and surrounding forest, with boardwalk sections and small bridges. Most nearby water is stagnant, but appears to be popular for fishing. Free parking in small gravel lot for about five cars.

★★★★★ — William , Dec 2020

It was a good walk. I was expecting a paved greenway but the trail wasn't bad. We ran right into the greenway though...

★★★★☆ — Candice , Jun 2020

Very good condition. Trail markings could use a bit more detail especially where wild turkey intersects. Start at the old courthouse battlefield on old battleground and go up to the trailhead via the greenway then follow it to the marina and back it's almost exactly 10 miles.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
