Confirmed from Natural Lands' Crow's Nest Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Beautiful preserve and well maintained. I come here year round. The trails are well marked, and they connect to Hopewell Furnace, Hopewell Lake and French Creek, so you could really get some mileage in around here.
One thing I'm noticing about preserves maintained by Natural Lands is that their trails are well marked and everything is thoroughly maintained. This location isn't any different. Great trails that are perfect for dogs!
We went there today to go in a hike. We had a great time, the views were breathtaking. It's very clean and has set markers so you don't have to worry about a wrong path.
A great place to walk, and much bigger than first appears. They cut the grass in broad pathways, and provide raised wood boards in wet areas. The parts that run alongside French Creek are subject to Spring flooding up to 1.5’ over the path.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
