Confirmed from Saint Peters Village Hiking Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Bucolic area featuring a creek, boulders and trails, along with a collection of eateries and shops.
What runners say about Saint Peters Village Hiking Trails
“The summer time it's packed with swimmers, the winter time it's full of icicles and beautiful pictures”
Saint Peter was nowhere to be seen, I did find my arch nemesis Poison Ivy, however. Got some Saturday afternoon fitness training in the Hopewell woods. Tossed some boulders, moved a tree off of the hiking path, and even found some time to sunbathe on a boulder. The trails ain't no stroll through Wayne Manor’s gardens.
St. Peter's is a nineteenth century Victorian style village located in Chester County, Pennsylvania near the French Creek falls, Warwick Township, situated in the Hopewell Big Woods. There are paths to hike, boulders to climb and waterfalls to enjoy.
Nice very small village / town some nice shops. Will have to come here. The trail normal PA rockyness. The inclines are mild nothing too steep. Trail was covered with leaves. So it can be slippery in rainy or early morning dew covered. Then on the topside where the old railroads tracks were is flat.
I love St. Peters Village. I love the views, I love the village look. My dog loves jumping the rocks there more than I do, and she's only a little thing. The place is so big that you can find a new trail, and site everytime and still always find your way back to the parking lot.
Trail conditions & character
“Just follow the sound of the roaring creek and you’ll quickly find this gorgeous gem.”
“There are some huge boulders you can climb, much easier with a grapnel, of course.”
“Be warned that this is a trail for those that are fairly nimble, with very rocky terrain to negotiate, but for those that are able, it's well worth the visit.”
