Where an adult can be a kid!!!!!Great half-way meet between NC and OH! Opted over Walmart and enjoyed our time eating in a covered gazebo, walking, and spending time on the playground equipment (kids included!) Next time will visit the coal minor exhibits and ride the train!!!Wonderful family fun!!!
Quite a decent little park, I haven't walked to the trail yet but it looks nice. I must say however, Beckley seriously needs a dedicated dog park. There is a good field here to run your dog off leash if they're well trained enough to stick around you, if nobody else is around, but I like a proper fenced in area for…
It's a really neat park! There is a swimming pool and kiddie pool that I'm guessing are open in the summer only. A waterslide that looked to be in good repair - probably summertime only? Playground structures in several different places around the park. Tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic areas.
It's a great place to unwind after a long day.. It just as good for adults as it is for kids.. My favorite thing about New River Park is the exercise trail.. You can walk the trail and its like your not in Beckley anymore.. Its peaceful,, you cant hear the noises of the city like traffic and honking horns..
