Confirmed from New Smyrna Dunes Dog Beach's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“As a local photographer and dog lover, Smyrna Dunes Dog Beach is one of my favorite spots in New Smyrna Beach!”

Visiting from Chicago, we took our Golden Retriever today and it was absolutely beautiful. We were really impressed by how nice the entire area is, and how much space is open to dogs. We even saw a dolphin pod swim by!

This place is beautiful! It's about a half mile walk from where you park to the dog beach, keep your dog out of the grass there are a lot of thorns. Theres a watering area with a community bowl along the walk to the beach.

One of the ‘go-to’ beaches for my family ! Great dog beach to take my pup to and she loves it ! Dogs do have to be on a leash though. The water is not too deep with calm waves and allows my dog to wade in and out without any trouble.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
