Confirmed from Smyrna Dunes Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Pets are allowed on leash at this large public park with an array of land & water activities.

As a local photographer and nature lover, Smyrna Dunes Park is one of my favorite gems in New Smyrna Beach! The elevated boardwalks winding through the dunes and coastal landscape make for such a peaceful stroll, with multiple stairways leading down to the beach along the way.
The place is simply stunning! A must see if you enjoy walks on a number of boardwalks or dipping your toes in the water on a warm and sunny day. You’ll see surfers and an abundance of wildlife that thrives here. The sunrise is gorgeous and so peaceful.
Be aware backup traffic for parking & Correction on fee it’s $11 not $10 BUTTT it was absolutely super WORTH the wait & the price … it’s a little oasis/island for your furries & you to enjoy together… you’ll meet friendly-social people & the view is spectacular… the park ranger was absolutely FRIENDLY, she offered…
Smyrna Dunes Dog Beach 5 star, Officer Rachael Brown with animal control gets 10 stars , she refilled our water bottles on the beach when we realized we did not have enough to last for LuLu's doggie adventure day. It was our first time there, and while it is a bit of a hike to get to the beach, man it was soo awesome.

“Dogs are allowed on the beach but not the boardwalk after 10am (odd) - so if you have a pup you'll have to walk alongside the boardwalk in the sand trail.”

“You also have to pay for parking and pedestrians aren't allowed to actually walk on the sand dunes behind the beach - only the designated trails and beach area.”
