Confirmed from Lighthouse Point Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This is a great destination for enjoying a natural beach and coastal environment that also has a huge jetty. Swimming, hiking, sunbathing and fishing are popular activities here. Meandering boardwalks with picnic pavilions are sprinkled amidst the maritime dune environment.

Probably my favorite place to do my photo sessions at! Always beautiful! A large park with plenty of places to walk to. Consistently great photography location in Volusia County

Wonderful beach! Great for swimming, clean, families on the river side, fishing, views, nice long boardwalk. My family and I, from Phoenix Arizona, did our research for which beach to go to, and we are So Happy we chose this one! We had a great time!

Wind was blowing, the sun was going down the fish where not there but the place was amazing. you can walk the jetty walk the beach and see across the inlet. The light house has more then one beam of light not sure why there is like six beams of light one right after the other, you can see in the video.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
