Confirmed from No Thoroughfare Canyon Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about No Thoroughfare Canyon Trail
Just went partly down the trail to check it out but it looks like a nice hiking trail, although from the upper end it is very steep and rugged climbing down into the canyon.
Despite its name, you *can* hike through without rappelling, it's just a huge pain in the ass. Would be fun to come back and rappel down the waterfall sections. I've heard this is a cool place to ice climb in the winter as well, but haven't done it myself.
Drove back and forth looking for this trailhead for a while and couldn’t find it. I’m sure it’s there and it’s wonderful, it just doesn’t have the large parking lot that I was expecting.
Accessed from Devil's Kitchen Trailhead. Easy walk back to the first pool, followed by a short climb up to an open area.
